The Network Marketing Industry is changing. That’s no surprise to anyone with a MLM business. The Old School way simply does not work today. Only the 3%-5% Heavy Hitters are financially successful. The part time Distributor rarely earns enough commission to cover their monthly Autoship.
Read on if you are one of the average Network Marketers who has not found the secret to financial success.
The New Network Marketing Model
The new Network Marketing Company Model is a Streamlined Company.
What the heck is that? Michael Dell started Dell Computers from his dorm & took on the giant, IBM. That was definitely a Streamlined Model. No expensive overhead, just a dorm room. The Streamlined model is revolutionizing the Network Marketing Industry.
Today’s Typical Network Marketing Company Model
Most existing Network Marketing Companies are modeled after Traditional Corporations. This happened mainly because that was the model we knew. We are living in a different time. Technology has changed. The Old Network Marketing Company Model is definitely not Streamlined.
Let’s look at a typical non-Streamlined Network Marketing Company prevalent today:
§Large buildings in high Real Estate areas
§Many salaried Employees.
§Corporate vehicles & some even have Corporate jets
§Paid Celebrities to endorse their product
As the non–Streamlined Company grows & revenues increase, they typically add more overhead. This expensive overhead must be paid for out of the incoming revenues before Distributors get paid. It also contributes to higher costs for the products.
In the above graph, the area between the Sales Curve & the Spending Curve is what is available to pay Distributors. As the Companies revenues increase, the Commissions that the Company can pay Distributors remains relatively constant.
Let’s Look at a Streamlined Network Marketing Company
With today’s technology, a much smaller staff is required & many can just as effectively work from home part of the time. Michael Dell proved this when he started Dell from his college dorm & took on IBM. Dell used technology instead of a large Overhead like the Corporate Model. When the products/services are of high quality & value priced, the Company has little incentive to pay Celebrities to endorse their products/services. Corporate Automobiles & Corporate Jets are no longer considered a legitimate use of the Company’s revenues.
In the above graph, the area between the Sales Curve & the Spending Curve is what is available to pay Distributors. As the Companies revenues increase, the Commissions that the Company can pay Distributors increased exponentially.
The benefits of a Streamlined Company are two-fold:
1.Value priced products that are more attractive to the end Consumer, whether a Customer or Distributor. Non-Streamlined Companies are forced to charge higher prices to cover their ever increasing Overhead.
2.Higher Commissions to Distributors. Also when the part-time Distributors are making money, retention is higher & fewer Distributors need to be replaced each month. It’s a win-win for all: Customers, seasoned Distributors, & newbie Distributors.
Most Network Marketers will see the advantages of being aligned with a Streamlined Company. The non-Streamlined Network Marketing Companies will be less able to compete because of their higher priced products & lower commissions paid to their Distributors. Most Network Marketers will choose to leave a non-Streamlined Company to join a Streamlined Company.
Here’s the Good News for Entrepreneurs
There is a Network Marketing Company that developed the Streamlined Company model. This Streamlined Company and their Distributors are Real Partners. This Company was founded 7 years ago by on one the most respected Leaders in all of Network Marketing. The dream is to create a model where part time Network Marketers can earn an acceptable income quickly. With the current non-Streamlined Model, 97% of Network Marketers do not make enough to cover their monthly Autoship.
This Streamlined Company has given their Distributors increases in pay at least 4 times in the last 5 years. The latest enhancement to their Compensation Plan was announced in January 2010.

Living to 100 used to be a longshot for the very few. But now, there are almost 90,000 centenarians in the U.S. today and within a few decades, there could be a million people over the age of 100.
So, what does it take to not only live to 100 but to still be vibrant? Elsa Hoffman is a shining example of how aging can be.

Hear what the Longevity Doctor, Dr. Michael Bauerschmidt has to say.
Dr. Bauerschmidt believes we’re all meant to live 100 years & not the way we see most of the very old living today. He says we can live 100 vibrant, active years.
Bauerschmidt’s inspiration came from a very unusual circumstance. He had a car accident that nearly killed him. He was in constant pain, & out of desperation he turned from drugs to natural alternatives. He was stunned by the results. This former ER doctor dug deeper & deeper into a natural, whole body approach to wellness & became more & more convinced that this is the direction of the future.
Let’s join Vitamark Diamond & Health Show hostess, Meme Groseth(MG) & Vitamark Vice President, Tom Mitcham (TM) as they discuss ways to improve & protect your memory:
(deleted unrelated discussion)
MG: Now for that information on saving your memory.*
TM: I have some very important information from a recent interview of Dr. Dharma Singh Khalsa, MD by The Daily Health News. The recent interview focused on what we can do to enhance memory function both long term & short term.*
MG: This is very timely, since recent headlines have touted the growth in the number of people with memory related diseases like Alzheimer’s — according to one report , someone in this country develops the disease every 72 seconds & it is predicted to double in the next few decades to one every 33 seconds.
TM: That’s alarming! Researchers are looking for the causes & trying to develop treatments… but more important is finding ways to prevent the disease — & certainly those who already have it would benefit from avoiding or minimizing side effects caused by treatments. So, just what can we do to enhance our memory function?
MG: Dr. Khalsa says using brain teasers & other mental activities won’t fend off Alzheimer’s disease altogether, but, it can help decrease the intensity & persistence of symptoms & help maintain functionality.
TM: Dr. Khalsa (An Associate Fellow of the U of Penn Medical School & the medical director of the Alzheimer’s Research & Prevention Foundation), a leading expert in integrative medicine, Alzheimer’s disease & memory loss has created a program called the Brain Longevity Program for the avoidance & treatment of Alzheimer’s & memory loss. It focuses on particular foods we should eat, supplements we could take or exercises to do to fortify memory.*
MG: Understanding that age-related memory loss & Alzheimer’s are interrelated, it’s important for all people to work to keep their memory skills sharp & strong. According to Dr. Khalsa, “Just like your muscles, the brain gets weak as we age — but it doesn’t have to be that way.”
TM:You are right, Meme, it doesn’t have to be that way. Dr. Khalsa believes that mild cognitive impairment, as opposed to dementia (serious cognitive impairment) or Alzheimer’s,is something of a “disease of lifestyle.”(since we control our lifestyles we can control the circumstances that contribute to a better memory) He said that there is some new research focused on a concept called cognitive reserve, which he said is like a savings account for your brain, it can be built up over time. “By building up your cognitive reserve through healthy diet & supplements & mental & physical exercise, you will not only have better brainpower now, you’ll have better ability to resist challenges to the brain later in life,” he said.*
MG: I understand that Dr. Khalsa recommends 3 strategies.
TM: That’s right Meme & the three basic strategies Dr. Khalsa recommends aren’t exactly new — but they bear repeating:
Eat well & take supplements. Research shows that people eating plenty of vegetables each day (around three or four servings or more) seem to have a slower rate of cognitive decline. Interestingly studies suggest that fruits are not as protective as vegetables in this regard — Dr. Khalsa speculates that since vegetables are so loaded with natural anti-inflammatories, they reduce inflammation, which is known to figure in cognitive impairment & Alzheimer’s. Basic supplements, including a multivitamin, & B vitamins (including folic acid), vitamin C & vitamin E, are also helpful*.
Manage stress. Stress causes the release of cortisol (Limu Plus helps regulate cortisol)* into the bloodstream, which in chronic & excessive amounts can cause cell death in the brain’s memory center, according to Dr. Khalsa. He said that meditation & other relaxation techniques are excellent ways to reduce damagingly high levels of stress hormones.
Exercise. Can you walk & talk at the same time? According to Dr. Khalsa, “for optimal impact on the brain, both physical & mental exercise need to happen — preferably at the same time.” For instance, he suggests taking a walk — but instead of daydreaming, sing a song or talk aloud, mindfully. “Say, ‘I’m walking up a hill, the tree over there is green with a brown trunk, & there goes Dave driving his new Ford,’ ” he suggests. “This kind of mental involvement literally lights up the brain.” You could also just walk with a friend, discussing current events or anything else you find interesting.
Though we hear an awful lot about mental exercise nowadays, Dr. Khalsa explained that it does not have to be sophisticated or difficult to be effective. “You don’t need to do difficult puzzles or crosswords to benefit. Going to a museum with friends & talking about what you’ve just seen is great. Many recent studies have shown that merely being mentally engaged, no matter what the topic, actually increases blood flow, leading to the building of new brain cells along with enhanced cognitive function. You’re literally increasing your cognitive reserve!”
MG: I understand that Dr. Khalsa closely follows research on dietary supplements & cognitive function.
TM: That he does, Meme, he believes that certain ones are quite helpful. He likes:
• Phosphatidylserine( found in our Phospholipids, VitaOne, SuperSOY™ Ground Beef, SuperSOY™ Beef Strips, & SuperSOY™ Chicken Strips)*. This naturally occurring molecule, known as a phospholipid, is important for the integrity & maintenance of the brain cell membranes.* Because it is depleted by stress hormones like cortisol, it is often deficient in people with chronic stress.
• Fish oil(found in our Omega 3 EPA/DHA). The anti-inflammatory properties of fish oil are very helpful in reducing inflammation in the brain which many scientists believe increases vulnerability to Alzheimer’s.* Interestingly, the National Institutes of Health has begun to study omega-3 oils & their effect on cognitive function, though no conclusive findings are yet available.*
• Ginkgo biloba. “A recent study showed that patients taking gingko performed no differently on standard memory tests than a matched group of patients taking donepezil (Aricept), a common medication for Alzheimer’s,” said Dr. Khalsa.
• Turmeric/curcumin (found in CellRich, VitaOne & Vitamarin)*. This spice is a significant anti-inflammatory & therefore thought to be helpful to all brain function.* Take in supplement form or simply use the spice when cooking as much as possible.
MG: Dr. Khalsa admits there is no proven way to prevent Alzheimer’s; however, he says using some or all of these strategies may help you stay sharper & more functional longer.* Who, on this call, wouldn’t benefit from doing that?
TM: Right, Meme, they’re such sound health principles we all should follow them.
MG: Thanks for this information tonight. I know that most of the products you mentioned tonight are part of my daily health regimen & am I glad. Well it’s time to say goodnight, Tommy.
